TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
